The PlayStation Vita or PS Vita or PSV is finally here – well at least in Japan. The PSV is the successor to the PlayStation Portable (PSP) and it could very well be the king of handhelds.

The PSV features two analog sticks, a 5-inch (130 mm) OLED multi-touch capacitive touchscreen, and supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and optional 3G. Internally, the Vita features a 4 core ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore processor and a 4 core SGX543MP4+ graphics processing unit, as well as LiveArea software as its main user interface, which succeeds the XrossMediaBar. The device will be fully backward compatible with the PSP.

It released in Japan and other parts of Asia on the 17th of December 2011 and will release in Europe, Australia and North America on February 22nd 2011.

From Epic Games and ChAIR Entertainment comes Infinity Blade II, the sequel to the critically acclaimed, best-selling iOS game Infinity Blade. The game is set to release on 1st Dec 2011.

Electronic Arts today confirmed that the Bio-Ware-developed MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic will launch December 20 in North America, and December 22 in Europe. Since June, the publisher has been proclaiming a general 2011 release window for the game. Don’t for get to check out the video!

Here’s ten-minutes from Alok Sharma’s soon-to-be released documentary on Indian comics creators through the ages. This particular nugget here features interviews with Aabid Surti- creator of Bahadur, the ‘Father’ of Indian comics Mr. Ananth Pai and Pran of Chacha Choudhry.

The documentary, called Chitrakatha: Indian Comics Beyond Balloons and Panels, has been Sharma’s dream project and is the first serious attempt at collecting historical information about the comics scene in India.

As indicated, the screenshot poster enjoyed the beta as Monk and was also able to finist it as a congratulations message appears for him.

Two more new trailers have been released just before  the Tokyo Game Show, which introduces two more additions to the Street Fighter X Tekken roster in familiarly cryptic fashion. The last round of teasers threw in a little misinformation, so don’t be rushin’ to wrestle a conclusion from this batch of clips.

The last batch of teasers half-unveiled Heihachi and Rolento with an obfuscated shout-out to SF3′s Sean on the side. These ones, without wanting to make us look like a bunch of idiots, give every appearance of confirming the Street Fighter series’ bear-wrestling Soviet caricature, Zangief, along with newer Tekken fan-favorite Lily  Rochefort. But then, this is a series whose most straightforward promotions involve cross-dressing and pastry-tossing, so really it’s anyone’s guess… Take a look at the trailers below.

As the PAX 2011 buzz is still going strong – we thought you’d like a peek into what was hot at this year’s PAX! PAX or Penny Arcade Expo is pretty much an annual event and lasts for 2-3 days. This year it was from 26th to 28th of August.

There were a very large amount of cool games shown at this years PAX but by far one of the front runners for a coolest game award had to be ‘Quantum Conundrum‘ a first person puzzle game created by the co-creator of Portal, Kim Swift.

Valve is also trying something new that has been tried before but has failed miserably in the past. That is the inclusion of cross-platform gaming. While this game will be available on PC, Mac, Xbox and PS3, the users whom are using PC, Mac or PS3 will actually be able to play each other and compete cross platform which will consolidate game servers and increase the amount of gamers playing the game at the same time. This should also remove the gap that normally exists between PC and console gamers in terms of being able to play against each other. We have yet to see how this will work out in practice because it’s been tried many times in theory and failed miserably.

The game is expected to go into PC Beta later this year and launch early in 2012.
