It has been ten years since the incident at Raccoon City and the President of the United States has decided to reveal the truth behind what took place. Raccoon City survivor and personal friend of the President, Leon S. Kennedy, arrives to find the President transformed beyond recognition by a bioterrorist attack. Leon is forced to make the hardest decision he has ever made.

At the same, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance Member, Chris Redfield arrives in China, itself under threat of a bioterrorist attack.

‘Prometheus’ trailer debuts, marks Ridley Scott’s return to science fiction after nearly 30 years.

The teaser trailer for the highly-anticipated science fiction epic, set to hit the big screen on June 8, 2012, debuted online Thursday.

The 20th Century Fox film was originally designed as a prequel to Scott’s famed 1979 classic – which later spawned three direct sequels. However, the movie was later altered, and the British director has insisted it is not officially part of the “Alien” series.

Despite that, the teaser reveals some stark similarities to the film.

The visual designs, such as the alien space craft and the space suits, bear a striking resemblance to ones seen in the 1979 film. There is also a very brief shot of what appears to be the “Space Jockey” – a mysterious creature seen in “Alien.”

Even the title treatment, which slowly spells out the film’s name, is done in the same fashion as “Alien.”

Scott has said that elements of his celebrated sci-fi horror are in the film, but stresses that there won’t be any of the acid-blooded killers.

“No. Absolutely not,” he told Filmophilia recently.

“Prometheus” marks Scott’s return to the science fiction genre after nearly 30 years. His two previous offerings, “Alien” and “Blade Runner” in 1982, changed the genre and inspired countless other films.

The PlayStation Vita or PS Vita or PSV is finally here – well at least in Japan. The PSV is the successor to the PlayStation Portable (PSP) and it could very well be the king of handhelds.

The PSV features two analog sticks, a 5-inch (130 mm) OLED multi-touch capacitive touchscreen, and supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and optional 3G. Internally, the Vita features a 4 core ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore processor and a 4 core SGX543MP4+ graphics processing unit, as well as LiveArea software as its main user interface, which succeeds the XrossMediaBar. The device will be fully backward compatible with the PSP.

It released in Japan and other parts of Asia on the 17th of December 2011 and will release in Europe, Australia and North America on February 22nd 2011.

Electronic Arts today confirmed that the Bio-Ware-developed MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic will launch December 20 in North America, and December 22 in Europe. Since June, the publisher has been proclaiming a general 2011 release window for the game. Don’t for get to check out the video!

After the eager anticipation of the closed beta test – looks like fans will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on some Diablo-esque gaming. Instead, the game is now scheduled to find its way to stores in “early 2012,” according to Blizzard.

Activision Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime explained that the studio was “hopeful” that the game would ship in 2011, but ultimately that launch window became impossible to meet. “This week we pulled together people from all of the teams involved with the game to decide whether we felt it would be ready before the end of December, and we grudgingly came to the conclusion that it would not,” he explained.

According to Morhaime, the extra time will afford Blizzard the opportunity to add “further polish to a few different elements of the game” and open the beta to more users than was originally planned. Gamers interested in opting in to the beta for Diablo III can visit Battle.net.

Diablo III is the first title in the series since 2001′s Diablo II: Lord of Destruction expansion and will add a variety of new features, character classes, and a new auction house system designed as “a new way for the company to pull revenues from the game.”

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announced that the PC edition of Arkham City will not arrive alongside the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions on October 18. Instead, the publisher has pushed the PC debut back to a November release window. As for the console versions, WBIE did confirm that they have gone gold in advance of their global launches.

This isn’t the first Arkham City slight for the PC crowd. In July, WBIE announced a $100 Collector’s Edition package of the game that would come with a Batman statue, an art book, a soundtrack, an exclusive downloadable skin, and more. However, only the console versions of the game are receiving Collector’s Edition counterparts.

Like its predecessor, Arkham City drops Batman in the confines of an unconventional prison. But where Arkham Asylum stuck players in the halls and courtyards of a mental hospital overrun with the Joker’s goons and allies, Arkham City deposits them in a sprawling neighborhood of Gotham City that has been walled off to contain the criminal element.

Under the watchful eye of “warden” Dr. Hugo Strange, who knows Batman’s secret identity, inmates of Arkham City are free to do anything they want short of attempting escape. In addition to Strange, the game will feature Batman villains like Two-Face and the Joker.

The screenshot is taken in the Skeleton King’s room, and it belongs to Leoric. Gamers need to defeat the boss after they beat the hell out of minions he summons.

As indicated, the screenshot poster enjoyed the beta as Monk and was also able to finist it as a congratulations message appears for him.

December 27, 2011 is the date to watch for. No Dialblo III isn’t releasing then – but I bet you thought it was. No? Um..ok, Well I thought it was..anyway; Blizzard Entertainment and Gallery Books will launch the Diablo: The Sin War Archive. This 784-pages trade paperback compiles the three books in the trilogy by New York Times Best Selling Author Richard A. Knaak: Birthright, Scales of the Serpent, and The Veiled Prophet.

Yes – this has something to do with Diablo III; because there will be stuff that’s coming up in the game you’ll not want to miss. Blizzplanet.com had an interview with Author Richard A. Knaak way back in 2008. Quote from the interview:

Medievaldragon: How much of the book is creation of yours, and how involved is Chris Metzen behind the canon storyline of Diablo: The Sin War Trilogy? Do you think the ramifications of this book impact in the storyline of Diablo 3 the game?

Knaak: This is a pure collaboration between myself and Chris Metzen / Blizzard. All that is written is passed by him and the others there. This will be canon and has adjusted earlier info. The ramifications here will be used for any future project … and I ain’t writing for a dead game. smile

 

Back then this was the first hint that Diablo III was indeed in development. Blizzard officially announced Diablo III development at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitationals (Paris) on June 28, 2008. This far back, Knaak revealed the ramifications of Diablo: The Sin War Trilogy lore would shape up the Diablo III storyline. In what ways, that’s still to be seen.

Call of Duty $400 hardware bundle features redecorated 320GB system with custom sounds, two controllers, and a copy of Activision’s newest first-person shooter.

Microsoft and Activision have announced the special-edition Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Xbox 360 package, featuring a 320GB version of the hardware carrying a motif inspired by the upcoming first-person shooter. Available for Modern Warfare 3′s November 8 launch, the console pack will include the redecorated Xbox 360 with two matching controllers and a copy of the game.It will also feature some custom sounds for when the system is powered on or off, and when the disc tray is ejected. The $400 bundle will also include one free month of Xbox Live Gold and exclusive items for Xbox Live avatars.

Microsoft is also releasing a pair of Modern Warfare 3-themed accessories to be sold separately. The hardware bundle controllers will be sold on their own for $60, and a Modern Warfare 3-themed Bluetooth wireless headset will also be available for $70. Both will come packed with codes for unspecified but exclusive downloads.
